Schools

Skateboarding in your school.

A Shaolyn teacher comes to you with the boards, helmets and pads and runs a block of sessions on your playground or in your hall. Every teacher who works in schools holds the enhanced check for your part of the UK, with the children's barred list, and we have verified it ourselves. A member of your staff is with the group throughout.

After-school club

Six or twelve weeks, one afternoon a week, up to fifteen pupils. The club most schools start with.

PE enrichment

Skateboarding in the timetable: balance, coordination and nerve, for a class or a year group over a half-term.

Skate day

A morning or a day of short sessions so every class gets a go. A good first step before a club.

Holiday club

Daily sessions through a school holiday, run at your school or a partner venue.

Questions schools ask

How much space do we need?
A flat, dry, swept area clear of furniture: a playground, a hall or a MUGA. About 10 by 15 metres for fifteen pupils. We check it before the first session.
What if it rains?
We do not skate on a wet surface. If there is a hall we move inside; if not, we reschedule the session at no cost.
What ages?
From Year 1 up. Primary clubs are the most common; secondary PE blocks and sixth-form skate days work well too.
Do the children need anything?
Trainers and clothes they can move in. We bring the boards, helmets and pads unless you have your own, which we check.
Can parents pay instead of the school?
Not yet. The school is our customer and gets one invoice per block, so there is no money to collect from families.
What is the cancellation rule?
A session cancelled by either side with 48 hours' notice is not charged. Shorter notice from the school is charged; if we or the weather cancel, we offer another date.
